I am so proud of myself for getting into the gym this morning and making myself work so very hard.
I entered the gym with quite a mix of excitement and nervous energy, just going through the turnstiles and heading into the changing room was something of a rush and I found it hard to contain myself as I pushed open the large wooden doors into the main workout area.
A sea of machines greeted me and I headed first for the treadmill where 20 minutes of moderate paced pumping of arms and averaging 5.3kph had me walking to the beat of the fitness mix blasting from my headphones.
I then moved on the the exercise bike for a further 20 minutes of trying to keep up with the beat, I really did enjoy myself and the feeling of sweat running down my back just spurred me on even more
Finishing off my circuit I decided that the cross trainer looked like something I could get a good about of calories burned on, 10 minutes later and I was feeling it in every part of my body, perhaps this is something that I should start with next time as it really did take the most out of me.
I have yet to work out how to put all of my stats into the machines so that I can accurately measure calories and not just hit the ‘Quickstart’ button, but for today I just wanted to get moving and I certainly according to my fitbit data have achieved that!
With today being the first day the kids and hubby are back at work and school I had little time to prepare breakfast for myself and so after my shower I decided to see what the gym had to offer and scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast fit the bill perfectly, I may make this my breakfast of choice on the more manic monday -mornings.
My new shoes and I have done really well today, I can feel a sense of positivity about me and am for the first time in quite a while proud of what I have done today, tomorrow I shall be walking back through those doors and am already excited at the prospect of seeing just what my fitbit has to show me after it is done!
Now for lunch, all this working out and writing about working out has made me hungry!
